This article shows how to import the Tax Definition file for US or NO payroll customers.


Cause

After year closure and calculation of the first period in the new year, then system show message that Payroll recalculation may be incomplete! Check log file for more information.

In the log file you see a message that Tax def file for YEAR not found (US)! Please import tax definition file.

Every year the US and NO tax rates are updated, to maintain the correct calculations in Adonis, when a new payroll year is opened, a new Tax Definition file must be imported to the system. Though, the new rates are never published before the year starts, and normally are either published in January or even later, to keep the calculations running in Adonis the Tax Definition file still has to be updated and imported to the system.

After the new rates are published, Adonis will create a new file for import.


Step-by-step guide

Update 05/01/2020

At the moment the are no replication tasks for the table where the Tax Definition file is stored. The file has to be imported on every site separately. Development is working to improve this in the future.

Import ready Tax Definition file

  1. Open Payroll > Tax Def File > Import

  2. Select the file on your computer and import.

Update Tax Definition file

While the new rates are not published, you can yourself update the Tax Definition file and calculate the new year payroll.

  1. Open Payroll > Tax Def File > Export
  2. Select the previous year and export the file to your computer.
  3. Update the year in the file name
  4. And import it back using the steps described above for import.
