This article explains how to configure the Mask on Name in APM > Personal Details. |
Introduction
In APM under Personal Details we have a field called Name that consists of several elements: First, Last, Middle , Title, etc.
Under the Global Options you can set some default format for all the Names in the database, by using Mask.

e.g. you can display the name like this John Marshall Erickson Jr.: - John Marshall Erickson Jr. (separated with spaces only ) - John Marshall, Erickson (without Jr. and with comma before the Last Name) - John Erickson (without the middle name and Jr.) etc. |
Setup and Configuration
In order to add a Mask:
- Go to Global Options > Crew List - Personal details > General;
- Enable "use mask on name input" option;
- Define the Mask according to your needs.

| The setup screen contains fields available for the Mask and gives a preview of how the Name will be displayed according to your Mask. |
All the Names in the database will be updated according to this Mask. In this screen you can see all the available Mask elements/separators that you can use.
