This article explains how to create a new vessel.

Introduction

Under the Organization Structure, we have an organization tree with companies, vessels, departments, and positions beneath each department.

In this article, we will go through the step-by-step process of creating a new vessel.

Step-by-Step Guide

It is possible to copy another vessel structure to avoid having to add all positions again. Please see How to copy vessel/gangway system structure

Go to Setup > Organization Structure.
Select the unit under which you want to create a new vessel (usually it is Vessel Pool).
Click Create New > Vessel.
You can do it either from the ribbon menu.
Or by right-clicking on the selected unit.
Fill in all the necessary details and Save the changes.

You can use Split View to see the structure and details at the same time.
Your vessel is not ready. It will be located beneath the corresponding unit.
