Introduction

Sometimes there are cases when we need to split onboard days for the crew into several types (e.g. Regular Onboard, Onboard Quarantine, Sick Onboard), and for those days the person should receive different payments in Payroll.

Especially for such a situation, we have provided the possibility to register Extra Days on Sign On/ Off in Rotation Planning, which will be reflected both in Activities and in Payroll.

Let's check in detail how to set up and use this functionality.

Setup

  1. Open Global Options and activate the Register Extra Days option under the Activities tab.

  2. Go to the General Codes > Activity Views and add columns for Extra Days on Sign On/ Off (if you need them).

The columns will appear under the corresponding view in Activities datagroup.

  3. Under the General Codes,> Activity Codes define the new activity that will be used for Sign On/ Off days (e.g. Onboard Quarantine, Sick Onboard).

Usage

  1. Open Rotation Planning and select the shift where you want to add Extra Days (e.g. for Onboard quarantine).

  2. Open Shift Details and define Extra Days on Sign On/ Off, along with the activities to be used for those days.
You will see that our shift has become hashed - this is how we identify that there are extra days for this shift.

  3. The extra days we added will be then shown in activity details.

  4. Once we calculate we will see that all the payroll entries are split days based on the Extra Days that we added.
