Exam Type includes the following 4 options:

  • Proctored: The exam will be proctored by an individual, normally an Instructor, who must enter their login credential to unlock the exam before the student can take it. This is often used where the candidates identity needs to be checked.

  • Unproctored: The exam will not be proctored and the student is free to take it whenever they are ready. This is the most frequently used Exam Type.

  • Self Test: A Self Test is taken for a Student’s self-assessment. Results and grades will not be kept and students will be immediately presented with the correct answers.

  • Password Protected: The Exam cannot be taken until the Student receives a Password, normally from an Instructor. This most often used in group settings where the instructor can give the password to all students in the group.

Close Exam Options displays a dropdown list with the following options: Submit only, Save Progress Only, and Both.

Link Text modifies how the text of the Exam link will appear within the course.

Allow Student Review, when checked, will allow the Student to review their answers and results after the Exam has been taken.

Retake After specifies the time in hours that a Student must wait before retaking the Exam. (Enter 0 to allow immediate retake).
