Vision and Objectives


Adonis Personnel Portal

Vision

  • Create a unified Personnel Portal where crew-specific modules are activated based on the person's current planned sea service activity.

  • Foster and enhance functionality that supports "Autonomous Employees".

  • Strengthen the usability of the Adonis Personnel Portal on mobile platforms.

  • Enhance the roster planning to be a guiding tool for itinerary-based planning.

  • Extend the functionality in the shipmate’s companion.

  • Shipadmin Integration.


Objectives

  1. Requesting Service Periods:

    • Streamline the process of employees requesting their preferred onboard services.

    • Allow crew or team managers to efficiently post vacant positions due to sick leave or changes in service levels.

  2. My Upcoming Watch:

    • Provide employees access to their scheduled watches pre-boarding.

  3. My Time Off:

    • Offer an overview of leave and sick days.

    • Enable requesting leave periods and reporting sick days.

  4. Off-Duty Shift Sign-up:

    • Allow employees to sign up for available shifts posted by the crew manager.

  5. Flight Booking Access:

    • Provide detailed access to flight booking information.

  6. Shipadmin Integration:

    • Start Phase Two of the Shipadmin integration with single sign-on.

  7. Ferry Watch Planning:

    • Combine existing routes, trips, and service level schedules in planning watches onboard.

  8. Technical Debt:

    • Replace Dev Express with Devxperience.

    • Move to .NET 8.


Time Clock

Vision

  • Strengthen the time clock as a robust communication platform.


Objectives

  1. Add Notifications:

    • Alerts for overtime work.

    • Warnings about time left before an MLC violation.

    • Reminders for required hours of rest after clock-out.

  2. Enable Timesheet Approvals:

    • Allow approval of timesheets directly from the time clock.

  3. Daily Roster Confirmation:

    • Facilitate daily roster plan confirmation.

  4. Prompt for Default Reasons:

    • Automatically prompt for reasons when working overtime or encountering an LMC violation.


Mobile Application

Vision

  • Enhance the functionality and user experience of the mobile app.


Objectives

  • Optimize the Personal Portal features/modules for mobile devices.

  • Move some functionality to a native app.


Adonis Personnel Manager

Vision

  • Strangle the application with a new web version (APM Webification Project)

  • Maintain functionality in the desktop client and, if required, implement functionality requested by customers and authorities.


Objective

  • Successfully transition the Adonis Personnel Manager Desktop client to a fully functional Web Application by the end of 2025, enhancing user accessibility, improving system integration, and modernizing the application infrastructure.

Strategy

  • Strangler Approach:

    • Build a new system incrementally around the old one, slowly "strangling" it as new parts are built and old parts are retired.

    • Benefits include reduced risks, flexibility, continuity, and efficient resource management.
