Currently, all customer databases have a default backup of SQL databases with a 24-hour differential backup and 7 days of point-in-time recovery. This is what we offer all our customers as an included service. Ref Short-term retention on the following page:

Out of the box, we can offer an increase to 35 days of point-in-time recovery.

However, there are scenarios where the short-term backup may not be sufficient. For this purpose, we can offer additional long-term retention backup which allows us to restore the backup on a new server.

Encryption

The database has transparent data encryption with a service-managed key. This will encrypt the database, associated backups, and transaction log files at rest. See details on this page:
