How to add Covid certificate


This article explains how to add a Covid certificate for the crew.


Introduction

In the current world, it is necessary to have a Covid certificate to be able to travel and work.

In this article, we explain how to do it in an easy and convenient way that allows tracking and follow-up on the covid certificate records.

Ste-by-Step Guide

  1. Go to Setup > General Codes > Medical Codes.

  2. Add a new code for Covid.

     

  3. Set the document as required. For that, you need to open the Setup > Organization properties above the vessels Organization > Crew Change section.

 

Then each time when you plan a crew member onboard, the system will verify if he/she has a valid covid certificate for the contract dates. The same way the system will treat it as a requirement in all the other screens. See details in the Requirements Checks article.

It is of course possible to store the Covid certificate as a competence record, but then you will have to add it as a requirement for every position one by one - in the Position Requirements profile. Medical or Travel documents have the advantage of assigning requirements to all crew, with no relation to a position.
