Carnival HESSMS-LMS Environmental PDR Spec

Carnival Corp require a new PDR for Environmental Officers across all their OLs. It is expected that the CSMART site will be used since this is already used across all Carnival OLs. The site will need to be moved over to the France server that CUK are on so as to comply with data policies.

This document is focused on the PDR structure required.

PDR Structure

For reference, the existing CUK PDR structure has two areas, Rank and Vessel PDRs, each with PDR Level 1-3 within.

Environmental PDRs will still have two types, Ranks and Vessel PDRs, but there are only 2 Rank PDR Levels, Mandatory and Development, and one Vessel PDR level. In order to ensure consistency of User Profile fields it is suggested that the following mapping is used:

  • Mandatory Environmental PDR = Rank PDR Level 3 (assuming the HR Feed is similar to the current CUK MAPS import process this will ensure that when a new Environmental Officer is created they will be registered in the Mandatory Environmental PDR)
  • Development Environmental PDR = Rank PDR Level 2
  • Vessel Environmental PDR = Vessel PDR Level 3 (assuming the HR Feed is similar to the current CUK MAPS import process this will ensure that when a new Environmental Officer is created they will be registered in the Mandatory Environmental PDR)
  • Rank PDR Level 1 and Vessel PDR Level 1-2 would not be used for anything for an Environmental Officer

Registration

A User will be registered in the Mandatory Environmental PDR  if their Rank profile field is Environmental Officer and their Rank PDR Level 3 (assuming the HR Feed is similar to the current CUK MAPS import process this will ensure that when a new Environmental Officer is created they will be registered in the Mandatory Environmental PDR)

A User will be registered in the Development Environmental PDR  if their Rank profile field is Environmental Officer and their Rank PDR Level 2

A User will be registered in a Vessel Environmental PDR based on the value in their Vessel profile field and if their Vessel PDR Level 3 i.e. if user is on CUK Aurora they will be registered in the Vessel Environmental PDR for Aurora. (assuming the HR Feed is similar to the current CUK MAPS import process this will ensure that when a new Environmental Officer is created they will be registered in the Mandatory Environmental PDR)

PDR Content

It is assumed that PDR content will follow the same structure as the CUK PDRs i.e. a series of categories and questions which the Assessor must complete.

  1. Assessed and competent
  2. Complete but requires follow up
  3. Assessed but not yet competent
  4. Not Yet Assessed

1 and 2 are the only answers which will be accepted as a "completed" answer. An officer must get 100% across all questions for the PDR to be completed.

PDR Assessor/ Sign-Off Workflow - NEED TO ADD NOTIFICATIONS BASED ON CUK, have asked Stef

  1. Environmental PDRs can be assessed by the following ranks: ...... ASSUMING NOTIFICATIONS NEED TO BE TARGETED BY OL?
  2. Once all questions have been checked off with an acceptable answer (see PDR Content) and submitted to the system a notification will be sent to the assigned Sign-Off ranks
  3. Environmental PDRs are signed off by the following ranks: ....... ASSUMING IT NOTIFICATIONS NEED TO BE TARGETED BY OL?
  4. Once a sign-off has been completed the PDR is now marked as Complete. A notification is sent to "Administrator".
  5. The Administrator will check the PDR and if satisfied with the completion will change the Officers PDR Level accordingly (Note: this will only be necessary to move someone from the Mandatory to Development Rank PDR)
