Overview Screen
To access the Rotation Planning module, click icon on Modules ribbon or press Ctrl+Alt+O hotkeys.
By default, you are at View page > Rotation Maintenance tab where you can see all created/activated plans:
Rotation Maintenance
Rotation views that were created beforehand are displayed like tabs. Select needed view and plans linked to this view will be listed (how to link plans to view, see Housekeeping > Creating Rotation Codes and Views section).
You can also use the ViewFilter function to select only current or historical plans.
Select the plan you would like to work with and double-click it or use Open button to see its details.
The system remembers state of the tree structure and opens the plan according to state it was opened last time.
Expand Plan button allows to simplify work on setting up rotation plans. It is now possible to continue working with an existing rotation plan by adding shifts to it instead of creating a new plan.
See Functionality >Expanding Plan section.
Reset Activation button enables the user to set the plan back to the planning state if you want to update it (gets planning status again and is moved to Rotation Planning view > Planning).
A message warns you that all corresponding planned activities and shifts will be removed if you reactivate a plan.
Besides, you will be asked if you would like all related historical activities to be deleted.
So, be careful!
Move to Historical, click to move the selected plan to Historical list (if needed it can be moved back to current).
Under Print – you can find a list of customized reports enabled for Rotation Planning module (see Housekeeping > Rotation Reports section).
Rotation Planning
The rotation planning stage covers the workflow from creating the first plan draft to putting the rotation plan into life and creating activities for persons involved into it.
See Functionality > Planning Stage: Creating and Activating a Plan section for all details.
Shift Definition
Before creating a new rotation plan, user should prepare rotation shifts for the future plans to be assigned to.
See Functionality > Defining Shifts and Projects section for details.
Project Definition
Before creating a new rotation plan, the user can prepare rotation projects for the future plans to be linked to.
It is optional and can be used, for example, if you want a vessel to be assigned to a project (that requires additional crew or requires additional certification).
One project is associated with one rotation plan. It allows to specify additional requirements for seamen included into the project.
See Functionality > Defining Shifts and Projects section for details.
Vessel Projects
Here we can link vessel(s) and persons to already created rotation projects. It is optional.
See Functionality > Defining Shifts and Projects section for details.
On the bottom, you can see two tabs By Plan and By Filter on Rotation Maintenance view.
Currently, we're at By Plan tab.
By Plan lists all activated rotation plans. Using this view, you can look at one plan at a time.
By Filter gives you the possibility to select a team using cascade filtration
Make sure the access rights to the 368 View By Filter security routine are granted to you in Adonis Control Center. For all details, see By Plan, By Filter section below.
